COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION |
Community Participation is one of the major aspects of development. In Samagra Shiksha each school has School management committee (SMC)/School Development Management Committee(SMDC). These committees have a very important role for implementating and monitoring the progress of schemes at school level. To ensure greater participation of community in school activities, positive attitudinal change and capacity building of SMCs/SMDCs needed. The objective of the entire programme is to establish a strong linkage between the school and community and to develop, sense of community ownership of schools and schooling process. |

TEACHERS TRAINING |
As part of project SATH’s ongoing efforts to identify and diagnose educational challenges, Jharkhand conducted a state-wide Teacher Needs Assessment (TNA) in2018. The TNA was designed to test primary, upper primary and secondary teachers both subject content as well as pedagogy. The objective of this assessment was to gain a deeper understanding of the professional development needs of teachers, while identifying knowledge gaps that might be translating into poor learning outcomes for students. |
