Palani Waterfall is located in Palani village within the Patratu block of Ramgarh district, approximately 4 kilometers from the Patratu Dam.

Surrounded on three sides by lush green forests and hills, the waterfall boasts a captivating natural beauty and a serene atmosphere. Palani Waterfall has recently gained popularity as a tourist destination, with its beauty at its peak during the monsoon season. Locals also refer to this waterfall as “Phulwa Kocha.” The water flow becomes vigorous during the monsoon, and the surrounding area offers a sense of peace and tranquility.

While there are no large commercial hotels or restaurants here, there is plenty of open space for sitting and picnicking. Tourists can enjoy bathing in the natural pools. However, small food and beverage stalls can occasionally be found. The administration and local residents strive to keep the area clean and safe. Parking space is available near the road, but vehicles can only go up to 500 meters from the waterfall; the rest of the journey must be covered on foot.

Palani Waterfall is easily accessible by road via taxi, private vehicle, or bus. The nearest railway station is Patratu, located about 10 kilometers away. The closest airport is Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi, situated approximately 48 kilometers away.

The area is ideal not only for picnics and family outings but also offers opportunities for photography, trekking, nature study, and experiencing local culture. Future tourism potential includes the development of adventure activities such as rock climbing and jungle walks.
